1940s Rayon Zia Dress
1940s Rayon Zia Dress
This lovely 1940s cold rayon dress has a great pattern that reminds me of the Zia symbol from the native people of New Mexico. While the Zia is usually portrayed in red and yellow, like on the New Mexico flag, here it is rendered in pastels on a navy ground. This is a classic 1940s shape but with some fun additional details like over sized pockets, pointed cuffs, and of course the print.
